Mark your calendars for the 2025 RCEDC Annual Celebration on Thursday, May 8th at 4:30 p.m. at Festival Park! Join us as we honor local award winners and highlight the key developments that shaped Racine County in 2024. Enjoy delicious food from Olde Madrid and sweet treats from That’s Right, Sweetie.

The evening will feature a keynote presentation by James Robilotta, a leadership author, motivational speaker, and improv comedian who is passionate about bringing humanity and connection back into the workplace. With years of research and experience, he’ll share insights on combatting apathy, strengthening company culture, and providing impactful feedback to retain talent.

We’ll also recognize local leaders, celebrate business growth, and reflect on over 42 years of RCEDC’s contributions to Racine County’s development. Don’t miss it!

2024 Annual progress report

For the past 42 years RCEDC’s focus has been to grow the local property tax base and create jobs for our residents. This is accomplished by facilitating business expansion projects, recruiting new businesses, and attracting developers to Racine County.

Celebrating 42 Years of Economic Development

In 2024, RCEDC had the pleasure of working with local business owners to facilitate projects. The completed projects are expected to total nearly $ billion in private investment and $ billion in new construction, which will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the local economy. Furthermore, these projects are expected to result in jobs created and/or retained. Such a substantial influx of private capital bolsters Racine County’s economic resilience and vitality.

On behalf of RCEDC volunteer leadership and RCEDC staff, we want to express our gratitude to our community leaders, private businesses, contributors, and partners for allowing us to complete another successful year.

keynote presentation James Robilotta

Top Leadership Speaker, Entrepreneur, Author, and Improv Comedian

James Robilotta is a leadership author, speaker, emcee, and improv comedian dedicated to bringing humanity back into the workplace. He helps leaders strengthen company culture, retain talent, and give impactful feedback.

An entrepreneur at heart, he built two successful businesses—one blending freestyle rap with improv and another in speaking and coaching. Since 2009, he has spoken internationally, using humor to spark meaningful conversations. His message—that we learn from imperfection, not perfection—has resonated with top organizations like American Express, GE, and the Canadian Olympic Team.
