Major Construction Projects Transforming Racine County in 2025

Racine County is gearing up for a year of transformative growth, with major construction projects set to reshape its residential, commercial, and infrastructure landscape. From multi-million-dollar redevelopments to new public facilities, these projects will drive economic growth, create jobs, and enhance community spaces across the region.

Regency Mall redevelopment
  • Regency Mall Redevelopment ($120M): A phased transformation featuring a new Woodman’s, apartments, and retail. Grocery store set to open in Q3 2025.
  • Lincoln-King Community Center ($68M): A new health and recreation center breaking ground in 2026.
  • Reefpoint Marina Revitalization ($32.5M): A multi-year project adding new docks and a community pier by 2026.
  • Behavioral Health Facility ($15M): A 50,000 sq. ft. mental health center expected by September 2026.

  • Microsoft Data Centers: Several approved facilities, including a 3-million-square-foot data center complex.
  • Educators Credit Union HQ ($17M): Featuring new offices, a drive-up ATM, sports courts, trails, and an environmental corridor. Expected completion in late 2025.
  • Pike River Crossing: A mix of single-family and multi-family homes set to welcome residents by late 2025.
Caledonia Watertower
  • Youth Development & Care Center: A 70,000 sq. ft. facility set to open in early 2025.
Infrastructure and public safety construction
  • Racine County Public Safety Building (TBD): A 135,000 sq. ft. facility breaking ground in Q2 2025, featuring a 911 center, training spaces, and emergency operations hub.
  • Roundabout Construction: New roundabouts at County Highways A & J (Rochester) and U & G (Raymond) set to open by mid-fall 2025.
  • Racine County Ice Center ($12M): With $8.7M raised, this two-story facility is awaiting a county land donation before moving forward. It would feature an NHL-sized rink, concessions, and a gear shop.
