BLP is the only Certified Development Company (CDC) headquartered in Southeast Wisconsin and manages an office in Green Bay. Specializing in processing and servicing SBA 504 loans, BLP utilizes local, state and federal partners to successfully assist in completing a variety of projects.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Commercial Loan Officer will focus on developing relationships with lenders, referral partners and customers to identify prospects for approved loans. The Loan Officer will execute and provide oversight for processing business loan applications, closing loans and supporting the assigned portfolio of loan funds and grants.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 1-year experience in banking, public sector financing organizations, business credit organizations or related

  • Perform statistical analyses

  • Perform basic mathematical operations, and analyze / interpret business financial statements and related financial and business documents

  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and initiative

  • Proven oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on effective interpersonal skills to work with varying levels of professionals, such as public officials, bankers, State and federal employees, board members, staff, and business owners

  • Manage multiple projects requiring specific deadlines that may often result in a high stress environment

  • Work independently to effectively analyze and problem solve issues, and exercise good decision making

  • Proven organizational and time management skills

  • Work with the business community and the general public

  • Knowledge of word processing, data processing and spreadsheet software applications

  • Valid driver’s license with verification of appropriate insurance coverage
