Business Loan Closing Specialist

The Business Loan Closing Specialist prepares all loan closings and ensures that RCEDC is operating all loan programs within the required program regulations.


Some essential duties and responsibilities include:

The Commercial Loan Processor will work closely with the Loan Officers to compile, input, and track critical information for each commercial loan file. The Commercial Loan Processor will need to be organized and detail-oriented, as they are responsible to maintain a list of needs and questions for the borrower, banker, and Loan Officers for each loan file.
The Loan Processor position is similar to the Commercial Loan Credit Analyst but may lack a Bachelor’s degree and/or sufficient relevant commercial lending experience.

Summer Marketing Intern

The Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) is looking for a qualified intern to assist us with our marketing and communication needs – focusing primarily on content writing. They will be tasked with writing stories for websites, e-newsletters and social media. Additionally, they will be responsible for helping manage social media accounts, generating story ideas and writing news releases on RCEDC activities – small business lending, business recruitment and expansion, and talent recruitment and tourism.


Preferred areas of study include, but not limited to, journalism, technical writing, business writing, creative writing, English, public relations, or general marketing.

Wisconsin’s Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) is looking for a Corporate Attraction Market Lead to spearhead industrial business attraction efforts that shape the future of our communities.
This is a dynamic position for someone who loves the energy of sales, the strategy of real estate development, and the impact of community building. Your time will be divided as follows: 50% outreach for business attraction (primarily to industrial and business park tenants), 25% project management and documentation, and 25% collaboration with communities on development and redevelopment activities. The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst will work closely with the Loan Officers and lending staff to compile, input, track, and analyze critical information for each commercial loan file. The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst will also support the Loan Closing Specialist in a final credit review before the loan closing. Additionally, the Credit Analyst will support the loan servicing team to review more challenging credits to determine risk.
The Credit Analyst requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of relevant experience with commercial lending.

The Economic Development Specialist, as a key member of the Business Recruitment and Expansion (BRE) team, works closely with the Deputy Director and the Business Recruitment Specialist to facilitate business investment and job creation in Racine County.

 

The Economic Development Specialist conducts outreach to Racine County businesses to understand business needs and connects them with financial, technical and talent resources to grow their business. The Economic Development Specialist works with local municipalities to implement community development projects, including but not limited to community promotion, program development, business engagement, and placemaking initiatives.

 

The Economic Development Specialist serves as RCEDC’s talent expert, staying informed about workforce trends and engaging with RCEDC’s educational and workforce partners to develop and promote tactics that attract, develop, and retain talent in Racine County. The Credit Analyst will focus on loan pre-processing, loan servicing, and compliance matters. Additionally, the Credit Analyst will support Loan Officers in processing full loan applications and servicing the assigned portfolio of loans.

The Commercial Loan Officer will focus on developing relationships with lenders, referral partners and customers to identify prospects for approved loans. The Loan Officer will execute and provide oversight for processing business loan applications, closing loans and supporting the assigned portfolio of loan funds and grants.
