Business Loan Closing Specialist
The Business Loan Closing Specialist prepares all loan closings and ensures that RCEDC is operating all loan programs within the required program regulations.
Some essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Facilitate closing of SBA 504 and other loans
- Coordinate required documentation for loan closings
- Coordinate the drafting of closing documents
- Coordinate loan closings, loan packaging and debenture sales
- Coordinate, monitors, and approves all loan disbursements and documentation
- Ensure all post-closing activities are completed
- Ensure all closing information is entered into Salesforce and Ventures systems
- Report regularly on status of loans
Summer Marketing Intern
The Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) is looking for a qualified intern to assist us with our marketing and communication needs – focusing primarily on content writing. They will be tasked with writing stories for websites, e-newsletters and social media. Additionally, they will be responsible for helping manage social media accounts, generating story ideas and writing news releases on RCEDC activities – small business lending, business recruitment and expansion, and talent recruitment and tourism.
Preferred areas of study include, but not limited to, journalism, technical writing, business writing, creative writing, English, public relations, or general marketing.
- SKILLS
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Great interest in journalism or public relations with major in respective area preferred
- Must be resourceful, responsible, independent, and able to manage and complete multiple assignments in a timely manner

Loan Servicing Specialist
The Loan Servicer will focus on loan servicing, loan closings and loan compliance matters. Compliance includes reviewing loans to ensure they are meeting the terms and conditions of the loan, as well as, ensuring files are prepared for audits.
- LOAN CLOSING 50%
- Acts as a resource to enable the Loan Closer to effectively complete the closing process including but not limited to:
- a. Assist Loan Closer with maintaining current lists of what is needed to close each loan.
- b. Review project costs for approved loans to ensure funds were disbursed as agreed.
- c. Work with insurance companies to ensure all insurance requirements are met.
- d. Assist with any ‘change requests’ that require SBA approval prior to closing.
- e. Assemble closing packages for SBA District Counsel and the SBA Central Servicing Agent as needed.
- Draft loan documents and grant agreements as needed.
- Ensures all post-closing activities are completed as defined in the post-closing process checklist.
- LOAN SERVICING 30%
- Reviews loan issues and loan covenants and follows through on required actions with borrower.
- Supports Credit Teams on any changes that requires Loan Advisory Committee or SBA approval for issues or changes to loan covenants.
- Completes loan risk rating tasks related to spreading financial statements and business tax returns and analyzing the results.
- Monitors troubled loans providing support to the Loan Officers on appropriate next steps.
- AUDITS & REPORTS 10%
- Assist with file reviews in preparation for audits as required.
- Completes and submits required reports designated for the position by the required dates.
- Assist in the monitoring of business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations governing RCEDC's loan programs.
- Work to review, update and disseminate policies and procedures governing compliance with the core responsibilities of this position.
- Assist in responding to regulatory agencies to complete required compliance documentation.
- Assist management with other general duties and compliance projects as needed.
- LOANS & GRANTS PROCESSSING 5%
- Process Grant applications as needed.
- Inputs financial statements and tax return data in Ventures software.
- Orders credit reports and conduct other pre-processing tasks, such as public records checks.

economic development specialist
The Economic Development Specialist, as a key member of the Business Recruitment and Expansion (BRE) team, works closely with the Deputy Director and the Business Recruitment Specialist to facilitate business investment and job creation in Racine County.
The Economic Development Specialist conducts outreach to Racine County businesses to understand business needs and connects them with financial, technical and talent resources to grow their business. The Economic Development Specialist works with local municipalities to implement community development projects, including but not limited to community promotion, program development, business engagement, and placemaking initiatives.
The Economic Development Specialist serves as RCEDC’s talent expert, staying informed about workforce trends and engaging with RCEDC’s educational and workforce partners to develop and promote tactics that attract, develop, and retain talent in Racine County. A few essential responsibilities and duties include:
- Conduct outreach to Racine County businesses to understand local business trends
- Engage employers through business call visits and relationship development
- Manage and coordinate RCEDC’s strategic talent advisory roundtable
- Engage with talent considering relocation to Racine County
- Initiate and manage talent focused events
- Serve as RCEDC's internal talent expert
- Develop and maintain comprehensive list of talent resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with key workforce and education partners
- Work with RCEDC’s marketing staff and Deputy Director to update the GRC website and community guide
- Collaborate with RCEDC’s marketing staff to develop ideas and content for talent centric videography projects
- Support Deputy Director and Business Recruitment Specialist in managing and undertaking community contract activities
- Attend designated community meetings
- Assist with semi-annual community contract presentations
- Participate in other project assignments as directed by the RCEDC Executive Director and Business Development Manager

credit analyst
The Credit Analyst will focus on loan pre-processing, loan servicing, and compliance matters. Additionally, the Credit Analyst will support the Loan Officers in processing full loan applications and servicing the assigned portfolio of loans.

commercial loan officer (northeast wisconsin)
The Commercial Loan Officer will focus on developing relationships with lenders, referral partners and customers to identify prospects for approved loans. The Loan Officer will execute and provide oversight for processing business loan applications, closing loans and supporting the assigned portfolio of loan funds and grants.
