A global manufacturer of electric vehicle battery components is planning a major investment in Mount Pleasant, signaling continued momentum for advanced manufacturing in Racine County. According to reporting by the Milwaukee Business Journal, Kedali America LLC plans to invest approximately $72 million to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility and headquarters in the community.

The project would bring up to 240 jobs and locate operations within a 229,755-square-foot building on Meridian Drive. Kedali America, a subsidiary of a China-based company with facilities across Europe and Asia, produces components used in EV battery systems for automotive and energy customers worldwide.

Under a development agreement approved by the Mount Pleasant Village Board, the company intends to purchase and upgrade the facility with new equipment and manufacturing improvements, with occupancy expected by the end of the year. The agreement also allows for potential tax incremental financing incentives tied to future increases in property value.

The investment highlights Mount Pleasant’s growing role as a destination for international manufacturers serving emerging technologies.
