Partnership Drives New Saputo Facility in Caledonia

RCEDC and project partners support $59M investment and long-term commitment to Racine County

Village of Caledonia, WI – Saputo Cheese USA Inc., one of the largest dairy processors in the world, has expanded its footprint in Wisconsin with the opening of a new 311,000-square-foot cold storage and distribution facility in Caledonia Corporate Park. The $59 million investment will create 160 new jobs over the next three years, strengthening Saputo’s operations in the Midwest.

Earlier this summer, RCEDC joined Saputo leadership, project partners, and community leaders for a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The celebration marked not only a major investment in Racine County but also a testament to the strong partnerships that continue to drive local economic growth.

Racine County and the Village of Caledonia have proven to be an exceptional place to invest and grow. The team at RCEDC has been an invaluable partner—proactive, responsive, and deeply committed to creating opportunities for development. Their support has made doing business here both seamless and rewarding.

“We are proud to support a project that brings long-term investment and high-quality jobs to Racine County,” said Laura Million, RCEDC’s Deputy Director. She further added that “Saputo’s decision to expand in Caledonia reflects both the strength of our business climate and the growing momentum at Caledonia Corporate Park.”

It’s been a privilege to work alongside Saputo, Zilber Property Group, Racine County, and the Village of Caledonia to help bring this project to life.
This milestone builds on Saputo’s continued investment in Wisconsin, following its 2023 expansion in Franklin, and highlights the strong partnerships driving economic growth in Racine County. Saputo’s new state-of-the-art location in Caledonia is located just off I-94 and 11 miles from its Franklin manufacturing plant.
