Two Major Projects Featured on Top Ten Largest Developments List

Two prominent Racine County projects, the Microsoft Corporation Data Center in Mount Pleasant and the Regency Mall redevelopment in Racine, earned spots in the Milwaukee Business Journal’s “Ten Largest Developments Outside MKE” list. This list is an overview of projects outside Milwaukee set to progress in 2024.

MICROSOFT CORPORATION DATA CENTER

Microsoft is investing $1 billion in the first phase of the data center project in Mount Pleasant, part of a larger 1,345-acre development. While the total buildout cost remains unspecified, Microsoft aims to create $3 billion in new land value, fulfilling contractual obligations. The Data Center, located on 90th Street, is currently undergoing foundation work that’s set to be completed in late spring.

REGENCY MALL REDEVELOPMENT

The Regency Mall redevelopment, a $39.4 million Racine project being developed by Hull Property Group, is clearing 400,000 sq ft for a new Woodman’s Food Market and apartments. Interior demolition of Regency Mall is in progress, accompanied by noticeable external deconstruction. The property transfer to Woodman’s is slated for July 2024, marking a key milestone in the mall’s transformation. Woodman’s is expected to open in 2025.
