The Greater Racine County initiative was developed by the Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) to showcase the abundance of opportunities available to those who decide to take root here. The GRC Newsletter highlights talent recruitment and retention resources as well as community promotion and examples of those who chose Racine County.
In 2020, new residents and businesses continued to choose Racine County, taking advantage of its location in the Chicago-Milwaukee corridor. John Crimmings, General Sales Manager of First Weber Real Estate in Racine, believes outside companies are discovering the advantages of doing business here, which attracts home buyers – leading to a future of “a pretty robust real estate market.”

One of the City of Burlington’s newest businesses, The Loop Commons, announced their official opening on Facebook (January 11, 2021). The Loop Commons is a historic building revived for modern endeavors, and includes co-working space, a photo studio, a podcast studio, conference rooms, private offices, event space, a coffee shop, and coming spring 2020, a climbing gym.
When Low Daily Brewery owners, Tim and Claire Sullivan moved from the Pacific Northwest to Burlington, RCEDC provided development assistance in a variety of capacities, including local and state incentive as well as an SBA 504 loan for building renovations and equipment purchasing.
