Racine County 3-year residential development

Racine County has experienced a surge of commercial
development. More businesses recognize the value of investing in Racine County – leading to a great need for more talent. For Racine County to meet the talent needs of new and expanding businesses, the universal understanding was that housing availability needed to increase exponentially.

Racine County, RCEDC, local municipalities, and partnering developers have taken the initiative to meet the housing needs head on. Because of this comprehensive collaboration, Racine County is experiencing a much-needed increase in housing development, leading to over 3,600 additional housing units in Racine County.

Belle City Square

This historic home to the Horlick Malted Milk Factory is comprised of numerous, multi-story cream-city brick buildings and has been beautifully reimagined for today’s modern lifestyle. In 2018, J. Jeffers & Co. purchased the campus and began renovations and new construction. Today the facility is home to 330 units with another 386 under construction.

Leo Living

Adding to the variety of housing options in Mount Pleasant, these 347 residential units will add new single-family rental homes to the market. Residents will enjoy the privacy and charm of single-family homes in a master-planned neighborhood setting.
