Led by Chad Schmidt and Andrew Luebke, the project introduces a new operating entity that will lease the property and restore the nearly 70-year-old establishment to its roots as a family-friendly, supper club-style destination. The revitalized restaurant will feature a full dinner menu, cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere designed to reconnect with the community and rebuild its customer base. The project was supported through a partnership between RCEDC and Community State Bank, utilizing a Community Loan to advance the turnaround and long-term success of the property.

Distinctive Woodwork, a custom woodworking and restoration company that has served Racine for more than 30 years, is entering a new chapter under the ownership of Marine Corps veteran Joshua Ziev. Known for its custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, display cases, and restoration projects, the business will continue its legacy while transitioning to Distinctive Woodwork Racine, LLC. This project was made possible through a partnership between RCEDC and Town Bank, working with Josh Sopczak, Senior VP of Business Banking, to secure a Community Loan that supported the acquisition and future growth of the company.
Modern Aesthetics Skincare is a Waterford-based medical skincare clinic owned by licensed clinical esthetician Cala Newholm. To expand its service offerings and stay at the forefront of aesthetic treatments, the business purchased a BBL HEROic device, an advanced system for skin rejuvenation and laser treatments. RCEDC helped support this growth by securing a Community Loan, enabling Modern Aesthetics to continue providing high-quality skincare services to local clients.
