New Mount Pleasant Initiative Supports Business Growth and Investment

Mount Pleasant Creates New Opportunities for Small Business Success

Published July 20, 2026

The Village of Mount Pleasant has launched a new Small Business Retention and Expansion Program to strengthen connections with local businesses and support their long-term success. The initiative is focused on businesses with 500 or fewer employees and is designed to help owners access resources, share feedback, and connect with organizations that can assist with growth and expansion.

Through an online survey, business owners can provide input on their needs and challenges while learning about available resources, including training programs, financing options, and business counseling services. Participating businesses will also receive a visit from village ambassadors and a “Support Local” window cling recognizing their contribution to the community.

The program is supported by partnerships with RCEDC, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), and Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC). Through these partnerships, businesses can access tools ranging from financing and market insights to technical assistance and business development support.

Village leaders say the initiative reflects Mount Pleasant’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with local businesses, encouraging ongoing communication, and ensuring companies have the resources they need to grow, invest, and succeed.
