Known as the Chocolate City, Burlington is home to nearly 10,500 residents and over 750 businesses. Centrally located between Milwaukee and Chicago, the City serves as the commerce hub of western Racine County. The community is served by four major highways and two interstates. The City’s central location, historic downtown, two business parks, improved infrastructure and broad labor force makes Burlington a great place to live, work, and play.

The Foxville Gallery is a new contemporary art gallery coming to downtown Burlington, owned and operated by artist and entrepreneur Amy Lynn Ross. The gallery will spotlight professional artists with a strong focus on Wisconsin-based talent through rotating exhibitions, while the second floor of the property at 525 N. Pine Street will offer a unique gallery-inspired Airbnb experience known as The Fox on Pine. This project was made possible through the partnership between RCEDC and Community State Bank, working with lender Ben Bruno, AVP Business Banker, to secure a Community Loan that helped bring this creative vision to life.
At the October 14, 2025, RCEDC Leadership Council meeting, local educators in a panel discussion highlighted how Racine County high schools are equipping students for future careers and fostering connections with area employers.
Founded in 2016 by experienced massage therapists Nicole (Nikki) Burd and Chantry Kerkman, The Healing Tree in Burlington, Wisconsin, has become a trusted wellness center offering massage therapy, Reiki, acupuncture, and more. What began as a shared vision between two dedicated practitioners has evolved into a collaborative space supporting six independent providers, including Nikki and Chantry.

INVEST IN RCEDC
RCEDC’s mission is to grow Racine County’s property tax base by supporting business expansions and providing employment opportunities to Racine County residents. In 2024, RCEDC staff were able to facilitate 71 projects that included comprehensive site selection, loans, grants, and incentives resulting in $749 million in expansion projects and/or new developments. RCEDC’s Loan Committee and Board of Directors approved $9.7 million in loans and $136,120 in grants to facilitate this private investment.
