    Welcome to the 2023 Industrial Development Update by RCEDC. We are thrilled to share with you the latest developments in our region's industrial landscape.

    Racine County, RCEDC, local municipalities, and partnering developers have taken the initiative to meet the housing needs head-on. Because of this comprehensive collaboration, Racine County is experiencing a much-needed increase in housing development, leading to over 3,600 additional housing units in Racine County.

    Companies of all sizes, from all across the world are choosing to invest in Racine County. Since establishing their presence here in the 90's, Ashley Capital's Gary Rosecrans and Lee & Associates' John Sharpe quickly realized the value of doing business in Racine County.

    Following nearly 10 years of building clientele, advancing the practice, and leasing space, Dr. Sally Brown and her daughter, Dr. Tera Pfarr, purchased a 6,000-sf building to expand the business operations of Brown Family Chiropractic in the Village of Mount Pleasant

    Construction at Endeavor Development's I-94 Business Center project in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin has been progressing rapidly.

    Enterprise Business Park (EBP) is located in Racine County, in the fast-growing industrial corridor between Milwaukee and Chicago. With over 500,00 SF still available for purchase and development, EBP offers incomparable advantages including lower occupancy costs, a growing local work force, a pro-business local environment, and immediate proximity to the Wisconn Valley Science and Technology Park (WVSTP).

    Fiduciary Real Estate Development (FRED) plans to bring their new brand, Seasons, to the corner of Braun and Greeen Bay Rd in Mount Pleasant.

    Hillwood, a national investment and development company, expanded their footprint in Racine County purchasing a 19-acre parcel, where they recently celebrated the groundbreaking of what will be a 247,105 SF industrial speculative building.

    With tax payments projected at approximately $5 million for 2020, Foxconn will become the largest taxpayer, not only in the Village of Mount Pleasant, but in all of Racine County.

    The Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) and several partner organizations are proud to welcome ND Packaging, a subsidiary of ND Paper, Inc., to the Village of Mount Pleasant. Last year, ND Paper purchased a 350,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility for $15.5 million, with an additional investment of over $30 million for renovations and equipment.

    The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) visited the Village of Mount Pleasant’s O&H Bakery on Wednesday to award owner, Eric Oleson the 2020 Jeffrey Butland Wisconsin Family-Owned Business of the Year.

    Congratulations to Wangard Partners, Inc. and the Village of Mount Pleasant on the grand opening of the 278-unit Tivoli Green Apartments.

    RCEDC’s mission is to grow Racine County’s property tax base and by supporting business expansions, provide employment opportunities to Racine County residents. In 2022, RCEDC staff were able to facilitate 105 projects that included comprehensive site selection, loans, grants, and incentives resulting in $289 million in private investment and $124 million in new construction
