BizStarts Racine’s Third Cohort Reaches Graduation Milestone
Graduates Ready to Take Their Businesses Further
CELEBRATING RACINE COUNTY ENTREPRENEURS
Nine Racine County entrepreneurs celebrated their graduation from the BizStarts Racine program on October 9, 2025, at Gateway Technical College’s iMET Center—marking the completion of another successful cohort. Presented by RCEDC in partnership with the BizStarts Institute, this year-long program supports aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into sustainable businesses.
BUILDING STRONG FOUNDATIONS FOR SUCCESS
The fall 2025 cohort kicked off with six weeks of in-person training focused on marketing, operations, financials, and funding strategies. Participants have now advanced to one-on-one mentorship and hands-on consulting projects, working with experienced professionals and college students to refine business plans and implement growth strategies.
Through this proven three-phase process, entrepreneurs gain the confidence, knowledge, and support to launch or scale their businesses successfully.
A shining example of BizStarts success, Stacy Jeffers, founder of That’s Right, Sweetie, was recently featured on CBS 58’s Racine & Me for her thriving gourmet gifting business.
Once a special needs educator, Jeffers turned her passion for elegant, chocolate-dipped creations into a full-time venture. Since graduating from BizStarts Racine inSeptember 2024, she has fulfilled over 2,000 orders, expanded into Racine’s Maltworks development, and built partnerships with companies seeking high-end corporate gifts.
