'Time To Move Up' Campaign Brings Professionals and Businesses Together in Racine County

The goal of the Greater Racine County (GRC) initiative is to meet the talent needs of our employers by bringing more professionals to Racine County. Positive first-person stories of Racine residents promote local career and life opportunities to attract talent. 


Through partnerships with local companies, we’ve developed, implemented, and managed a digital advertising campaign that has allowed us to reach over 1.2 million individuals in Racine County and Northern Illinois in 2023. 


Marketing our community requires continual investment to share and reinforce the value of living and working here to existing and future Racine County residents. Since its launch in 2019, the advertising campaign tallied over 18.5 million impressions and attracted more than 239,000 website users.


At the end of 2023, our initiative was awarded a 50% matching grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to continue the digital ad campaign in Northern Illinois. Implementation started in January 2024. 

In 2023, the campaign reached more than 4.2 million impressions and 1.2 million individuals. 

Talent Attraction & Retention Marketing Cooperative Initiative

We are able to continue the campaign in 2024 by leveraging business investments that afforded us to apply for a WEDC grant. Employers throughout Racine County are investing in out talent attraction and retention initiative. In 2024, RCEDC continues the Time to Move Up ad campaign which shares positive messages about Racine County with high-priority groups living in Northern Illinois seeking work opportunities in manufacturing, healthcare, education, and STEM fields. The GRC ads tell the story of Racine County by featuring first-person video accounts and job opportunities and community assets, including arts and culture, quality of life, tourism, businesses, and job opportunities.


The GRC 2024 marketing plan focuses on elevating the Greater Racine County brand to ideal audiences from across the region to engage and invest in the future of Racine County. Target audiences include existing Racine County residents and talent located in Northern Illinois. In addition, GRC supports existing businesses’ efforts to attract new talent to Racine County as a place to Explore & Take Root by providing materials to support businesses’ talent recruitment efforts.
