Mather's Improvement Service Expands Family Owned Business Thanks to SBA 504
Benjamin Zusan started his career at his family’s business in 1994. In 2022, his parents and former owners of Mather’s Improvement Service, retired and Benjamin assumed ownership of the business.
To facilitate the company’s continued growth, Benjamin has partnered with Greenwoods State Bank and RCEDCto secure an SBA 504 loan to purchase a larger building located at 665 South Kane Street in Burlington. The larger facility will provide more space for its employees and building materials.

With the help of RCEDC, an SBA 504 loan was secured to fund 40% of the expansion project. Greenwoods State Bank provided 50% of the project, resulting in only 10% to be provided as equity by Mather’s Improvement Services.
Grounded in our heritage and community bonds, Mather’s Improvement Service is embarking on a new journey. The expanded space at 665 South Kane Street, with support from RCEDC who provided the SBA 504 loan, and Greenwoods State Bank, signifies more than just a building—it symbolizes an investment in Mather’s future, generating jobs and nurturing a flourishing business in Racine County.
