    Welcome to the 2023 Industrial Development Update by RCEDC. We are thrilled to share with you the latest developments in our region's industrial landscape.

    Companies of all sizes, from all across the world are choosing to invest in Racine County. Since establishing their presence here in the 90's, Ashley Capital's Gary Rosecrans and Lee & Associates' John Sharpe quickly realized the value of doing business in Racine County.

    There is a new 188,000 square foot speculative development planned for Caledonia's DeBack Farms Business Park.

    Hillwood, a national investment and development company, expanded their footprint in Racine County purchasing a 19-acre parcel, where they recently celebrated the groundbreaking of what will be a 247,105 SF industrial speculative building.

    During the next several years, nearly 1 million square feet of industrial development is planned for the DeBack Farms Business Park in the Village of Caledonia. Scannell Properties, headquartered in Indianapolis, plans to develop a 65-acre site in the park over three phases. A General Mills warehouse and distribution center is planned to occupy the first building.

    RCEDC’s mission is to grow Racine County’s property tax base and by supporting business expansions, provide employment opportunities to Racine County residents. In 2022, RCEDC staff were able to facilitate 105 projects that included comprehensive site selection, loans, grants, and incentives resulting in $289 million in private investment and $124 million in new construction
