CALEDONIA, WI – On Saturday, December 4th, Tom and Sue Haman, along with their kids Jake and Alisa, celebrated the grand opening of their new Culver’s location at 4542 Douglas Avenue, near O&H Danish Bakery and Starbucks. By 4:00 PM Monday, the parking lot was completely full.

According to an article in the Journal Times, the Haman’s have employed a team of about 100 staff members from across the community who have been training for operation over the last few months.

According to an article in the Racine County Eye, Jake, Tom, and Alisa also own the Culver’s on Highway 20 and Interstate 94, and other members of the Haman family own the Culver’s on 21st Street. The article says that when the family opened the Culver’s on Highway 20, it was store number 56. When this new restaurant opens, it will be store number 838.

RCEDC assisted in the development of this project by working directly with the Village of Caledonia to provide a $50,000 forgivable loan. The dollars went towards the demolition of the former gas station located on the property and helped eliminate contamination issues at the site.
