PURPOSE
How do we recruit qualified talent to work in Racine County to bridge the gap in workforce supply and demand?
That’s the question we are facing. The 2018 ManpowerGroup study identified the need for an increased workforce supply in Racine County.
The purpose of this campaign is to communicate the message of career opportunities to a targeted market with the goal of driving traffic to the Greater Racine County manufacturing website – where visitors can explore job opportunities, compare cost of living, and virtually interact with RCEDC’s Talent Recruitment Specialist.
TARGET MARKET
Manufacturing production and CNC workers aged 25 – 54 in the greater Chicago area. Using labor market data and notice-of-lay-off information, geofences are strategically placed around targeted areas.
MESSAGING
- MORE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
- HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE
- LOWER COST OF LIVING

The new initiative, called the Digital Manufacturing Campaign, aims to target current residents of Chicago and its surrounding areas and encourage them to relocate to and join the workforce in Racine County.
Several companies — such as A&E, Marini Tool, Marini Manufacturing, EC Styberg, Fischer Precision, Pioneer Products, Burlington Graphics and Andis — are participating in the initiative and providing job opportunities. Gateway Technical College and Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce are providing support for the initiative.
“We’re excited to partner with RCEDC in this important effort,” said Mark Lewis, president and publisher of the Wisconn Valley Media Group. “We have strong tactics that will allow us to target residents of Chicago into moving to Racine. We look forward to the initiative’s success.”
