RCEDC approves $72k in grants for Racine County businesses, $330k still available
The newest Racine County grant, the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) was launched in late 2021. Nearly $72,000 has been approved for businesses throughout Racine County that were negatively affected by the pandemic. Fortunately, there is still $330,000 available.

The Greater Racine County initiative was developed by the Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) to showcase the abundance of opportunities available to those who decide to take root here. The GRC Newsletter highlights talent recruitment and retention resources as well as community promotion and examples of those who chose Racine County.

In 2020, new residents and businesses continued to choose Racine County, taking advantage of its location in the Chicago-Milwaukee corridor. John Crimmings, General Sales Manager of First Weber Real Estate in Racine, believes outside companies are discovering the advantages of doing business here, which attracts home buyers – leading to a future of “a pretty robust real estate market.”

Burlington’s The Loop Commons is Officially Open
One of the City of Burlington’s newest businesses, The Loop Commons, announced their official opening on Facebook (January 11, 2021). The Loop Commons is a historic building revived for modern endeavors, and includes co-working space, a photo studio, a podcast studio, conference rooms, private offices, event space, a coffee shop, and coming spring 2020, a climbing gym.
