In partnership with AEO, Fiserv is pleased to announce the Fiserv Back2Business Grants for Small Business Program, which will award funding to Black- and minority-owned businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 and social unrest.

According to a BLP report, the financial team saw an increase of 200% in total projects and a 110% increase in total project investment. The majority of projects that BLP assisted with in 2020 were real estate, restaurants and manufacturing.

Darius Szczekocki, president of Hestia Heat Treat in Racine, will use a $100,000 pandemic recovery loan to purchase new equipment to seek more work with automotive industry clients.

The City of Racine houses many businesses in a variety of industries, serving its residents and the surrounding communities. However, the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic were severe and required creative, flexible solutions to ensure the retention of these valuable assets in the City.

Boasting record-low interest rates fixed for 25 years, the Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 program remains a great financing tool for growing businesses. Aaron and Jennifer Sloma, co-owners of Parker John’s BBQ & Pizza took advantage of the program and introduced another Wisconsin location to their expanding portfolio.

This program allows for structures that have owner occupied businesses within the boundaries of the TID district to apply for up to $75,000 in forgivable loans for building improvements such as façade upgrades, signage, landscaping and even interior
improvements.
