Waterford Purchases Land, Ready to Develop

by Jeremy Williamson

The Village of Waterford is a bustling exurban community of Milwaukee with a trade population of over 46,000. State Highway 36 connects Waterford’s population to the center of Milwaukee, placing it far enough from the city to retain its Wisconsin rural agricultural heritage, but close enough to enjoy all the amenities and convenience of the big city.

Waterford, located in Western Racine County, is one of several communities aggressively preparing for the arrival of Foxconn and the economic impact anticipated. Recognizing the opportunity to serve existing residents and attract newcomers, the Village purchased several sites for commercial, mixed-use, and industrial development to encourage investment in their growing community. Developers and businesses are encouraged to learn more about Waterford and development opportunities at westof94.org and by contacting RCEDC and the Village of Waterford.
